We are a Family enterprise and start up business who discovered the glory of mead back in 2010 and fell in love with it. Starting with humble home brewing adventures, it was around 2016 that it became our goal to bring a great tasting beverage to the marketplace and spread awareness for the unique drink of the gods (mead)... thus the adventure of Zen Bee Meadery began.

Zen Bee Meadery & Honey Cider is about recognizing and embracing the taste of now. Mead is the oldest fermented drink on earth and we bring this delicious history into the present as modern lower abv Session Mead and Honey Ciders. The products we make are primarily what we enjoy drinking but we are also willing to push the boundaries in the flavors and unique combinations we make.

While home brewing we won First Place in the Ohio State Fair homebrew competition (mead category) and as a commercial Mead maker we continue to win awards. We are proud to say we took home Best of Show & Five (5) Medals at the 2020 National Honey Board Mead Competition, and continue to Bring home more Medals every year. We are grateful for all those who have been there with us on this journey, and strive for continuously improving our craft as we move forward.

Our Mead & Honey Cider is carried in multiple locations in Columbus with more being added regularly… (See Our MEAD for current locations).
